![]() | Laura I have always had a interest in the paranormal from a very early age, living in active/haunted homes helps. Anyway several years ago now I decided to start going on paranormal investigations and get more involved I guess with trying to find answers and reasons as to why these supposed paranormal happenings go on. I have had several experiences which I have found a little strange and unexplainable to me. |
I have also attended development circle, workshops, and reguarly go to a spiritulist church reguarly which, for me, I find interesting watching how different mediums work. I have also had several private readings and personally these haven't been that good for me so far but am game for being proved wrong.
Although I would say I do have some sensitive ability I would not say I am a medium in any way and each time I get something it interests me more as to how and why although I admit to possibly being sensitive it does not stop me from being sceptic.

Mark Having a lifetime interest in the paranormal, I wish that I could look back and pinpoint exactly where this attraction sprang from, but it wasn't due to any particular event, occurrence or even something that I was party to. I really wish that I could say that there was, but that would just be untrue. My interest stems from when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I was fascinated by Halloween and other pagan festivals and took my interest further by ordering paranormal books from the school book club etc. etc.
As I was growing up I maintained my interest which contnued to develop and, in 1984 I organised my first investigation with some college friends at a reputedly haunted local site. I guess that for two of us there that evening, it would be an occasion that we will never forget…. This turned out to be my first and only investigation for a number of years, but still my paranormal library grew larger.
Twenty three years after my first investigation I now find myself part of a more formal group in Paranormal Reason. My interest has also provided a regular guest spot on BBC Radio Suffolk and now SGR FM, taking calls and discussing local paranormal matters with the public and the presenters.
Although I very much enjoy the investigation and research side of things, I now have a particular focus on ITC / EVP, although currently without much success I am sad to report, but there is enough to keep me going.
I suppose that when I look back upon my life, I am surprised how an interest so innocent can develop and even more surprised about how many books have been written on the paranormal and found their way into my collection.
Mark.
